because I turned 40, because I had some Christmas money, because I looked at them every day

I adore these 2 bags and was looking at the Etsy site nearly every day. I don't know why, but I just figured if I liked them SO much..then they should be mine. (Thanks Dad. I was saving my Christmas money for something killer unique.)

From the site: Sturdy, worn-in mattress ticking from the 1940's has been paired with a 1940's era work apron and turned into a durable zip-top carryall. Fully lined with sturdy beige linen with two outer pockets as well as two inside pockets. Shoulder straps made from a soft, dark brown leather. Bag measures approximately 20 inches wide, 11.5 inches tall, 5 inches deep.

Worn-in cotton salvaged from a 1940's era salt bag has been paired with WWII era US Navy denim and made into a sturdy, zip-top utility pouch. Fully lined with antique blue & white striped ticking fabric.
Any discoloration of the material is the result of many years of natural wear and aging. Closes with a vintage metal zipper. Pouch measures approximately 11 inches wide, 7 inches tall, 4.5 inches deep.

Both are one of a kind. I love that the material is 1940's feed sacks, mattress ticking and work aprons. Brilliant.

Here's the site..

tardy
